Challenge Social – Press Kit – Photography

In preparation for the launch of Challenge Social, the company wanted to create a press kit so journalists and media organisations would have the necessary resources for their articles. As part of this, I was responsible for photographing shots of key screens from the Challenge Social app displayed on a phone. My aim was to capture bright, colourful, and slick looking photos in keeping with the brand’s modern aesthetic.

All the photos were shot with a shallow depth of field in order to focus people’s attention on the phone. The photos underwent a series of digital enhancements using Adobe Photoshop. I cropped and colour graded the images, and digitally replaced the screen on the phone. This enabled the app to be brighter and devoid of any glare, as well as having the added benefit of allowing the screens to be updated as changes were made to the app. The photos also had a subtle vignette added as well as light leaks to give the photos an almost dreamy quality.
